AQA Unit Awards

The AQA Unit Award Scheme can provide all students with the chance to receive external certification and recognition of their success in archery. The Scheme promotes effective teaching and learning by ensuring that units give careful consideration to learning outcomes, evidence and assessment and by setting down clear, short term targets for students.

Success in each unit is recognized on an ongoing basis through the issue of a Unit Award Statement which details the outcomes demonstrated by the student in successfully completing the unit. This recognition of success has been shown to motivate students and improve their performance.

For those pupils who may not otherwise gain formal recognition and acknowledgment of their achievements, the AQA Unit Award is a great way to build confidence and raise self esteem.

With a number of archery specific units in place, and more being developed, Feathers and Fletchings can help your school provide additional learning and accreditation opportunities outside the traditional academic route.
