As we all know, this year various astronomical alignments and numerological formulae have been proposed, the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar will reach the end of its 5,125-year-long cycle, as well as the culmination of a range of eschatological beliefs according to which cataclysmic or transformative events will occur leading to the end of the world on December 21, 2012.

On the plus side that gives us loads of time to get loads of shooting in. We have competitions to enter, PBs to break and lots of new shiny equipment to buy/use/sell on EBay.
